Mission
The Arts & Business Council of Greater Phoenix grows leaders and inspires involvement to enrich the entire community.
The Arts & Business Council of Greater Phoenix (A&BC) connects arts and cultural organizations with the expertise and experience of the business community to enhance and develop audiences, increase leadership capabilities and sustain operations. A&BC also generates exposure throughout the community; provides leadership skills growth, enrichment and experience for executives and key management; and creates business-to-business opportunities.
Primary Program/Service/Fundraising Areas:
Business on Board
A unique board-governance training program for business professionals to create, build and sustain strong and effective nonprofit boards of directors. Business on Board graduates are placed on nonprofit arts boards.
Business Volunteers for the Arts
A program that matches business professionals in a range of specialty areas with nonprofit organizations to improve management practices, strengthen boards, manage volunteers and build technical capacity.
Marketing and Management Workshops
Workshops offering practical tools for the entire nonprofit community in marketing, communications, audience development and promotional skills to increase organizational effectiveness.
Business in the Arts Awards Breakfast
Annual celebration recognizing individuals and arts and business organizations for their commitment to creating a strong arts community.
Martinis & Masterpieces
Annual cocktail party and fund-raising auction celebrating the Arts & Business Council’s work in answering the needs of the nonprofit arts and health and human services communities with capacity-building tools and programs.
